"Black Belt" Training

How often will I need to attend class?

Consistent class attendance is important to earn your Black Belt. You should attend class at least two times each week. If you miss a class, you may make it up the week before or after. Be sure to plan ahead so you have enough classes to earn your next belt.

How will I know when I am ready for Black Belt training?

First of all...do you want to set your goal to be a Black Belt? If you answered yes, then you have taken the first step. Next, talk with your instructor. They will give you an honest evaluation of whether you are ready or what you need to do to be ready. And lastly, come to class with a Black Belt attitude and train like a Black Belt every day.

Can "I" or my "child" really earn a Black Belt?

Everyone has the ability to become a Black Belt. It is a very individual path for each person. There is no competition to earn a Black Belt. You are never compared to others. Your goal will be to challenge yourself and reach your greatest potential each step of the way.

What if I get really busy and have to miss classes for a while?

Life is a journey as is your path to Black Belt. At different times during your journey you may take class more or less often due to the demands of life. The key is consistency over time. Make earning your Black Belt a priority and you WILL find the time to achieve your goal. Earning your Black will change your life forever!

Is joining Black Belt training a commitment?

Yes it is. Every person in class is on a similar path. They are committed to doing their best everyday in class. They are committed to challenging themselves and everyone around them to be their best. There will be no one in class who is just there trying karate. Each person already appreciates the value and importance of making and fulfilling a commitment. This is one of the most valuable lessons that each student learns when they set their goal to be a Black Belt. They learn to finish what they start...they "Never, never, never, never give up!"
